My sister and I are taking my boys to the circus today. It will be the baby’s first circus. He’s at a great age for it – as long as he will sit still.
It is fall once again here. My yard is covered with leaves from our Maple tree. The boys had a wonderful time playing in them yesterday. At one point the baby fell into them and disappeared for a moment. Then it began to rain. Wet leaves aren’t much fun. Looks like we will be bagging up wet leaves in the next few days. That will be a day of hard, messy work.
The weather is playing games with us regarding the temperature. It is no wonder that I am sick. One day this week it was sunny and 77 degrees. Today it is overcast and supposed to reach a high in the 40s. Sounds like a good night for a fire. A fire, a mug of hot chocolate, and a family movie is on the agenda for this evening.
I’m so glad to have a family day with my kids. (Too bad my husband is working and can’t enjoy it with us.) They are growing so quickly, days like this will be greatly missed…

I haven’t been very faithful to my blog. It could be that I’m just too busy. It could be that I’m just too lazy. It could be that I have nothing worthwhile to say. I don’t knwo what it is but I thought I needed to post something.
I guess I could give an update about me. I am still attending grad school. I have a little over eight months left to go and then I will be finished and hopefully will be able to obtain a full time teaching job for next year. My boys keep me busy. My oldest has started cub scouts – he has already built a toolbox (with help from his grandpa) and has researched and learned all about cardinals (he had to learn about an animal or bird and make a poster showing what he learned). He has gone camping and cooked us dinner. He is really having a lot of fun with scouts.
My middle son is in Kindergarten this year and he is jsut really doing well. He is learning so much every day. He is becoming a little social butterfly and has really changed since he has gotten his glasses and can actually see the world around him now. He finds so much enjoyment and excitement in his surroundings. It’s amazing what we take for granted.
My youngest is now 19 months old. He is definitely part monkey. He climbs without fear. (Well, I have fear…) He is talking…we just don’t always know what he is saying. He is a cuddler and is just a happy go lucky child. He is rarely in a bad mood – but he DOES have the red head temper. When he is mad, everyone knows. I’ve heard him screaming because I left him with his daddy while I walked the oldest two to school from four houses away – and the door was closed and the windows were shut. Yep, there is nothing wrong with his lungs.
My hobbies are my hobbies. I’m am still continually starting projects without finishing them. I have so many ideas and not enough time to devote to them. One day…..
Reading is something I always have time for. I am still a HUGE Stephenie Meyer fan. I have my sister and mother hooked too. (Mom hasn’t read Twilight yet, but she enjoyed The Host.) I can’t wait for the movie…come on November! I am also reading the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini…well, Brisingr…I’ve already read the other two…
My wonderful husband took me to the movies the other day. We actually saw a chick flick…first one I’ve seen in over a decade. He knew how much I liked the book The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd and he took me to see the movie. It was very true to the book which translates to being a good movie in my opinion.
I’m suffering from my regular change of seasons cold. Makes it difficult to work when you sound worse than the teacher you are supposed to be filling in for. Makes life interesting.
Well, I don’t really know what else to say. There is a lot on my mind but that’s a post for another day.
